With the current production „Die erzählte Geschichte", the Berliner-by-choice
Jan S. alias Agja has tried to produce a complete set under the same theme and to record it in one session. One Gus, one Story, no paragraph, no chromatic breaks. One radio play, many stories. The story told here is that of a raindrop, which travels through the big city from its creation to its demise. How does it feel to fly with the wind? To take a quick peek into the thousands of windows in the city and let yourself be carried along? This is what the artist Agja tries to portray in his new work. With punchy analog basses, organic sounds and futuristically constructed surfaces Agja conjures up a soundscape of his own environment. -The sound of the rainy collective always as a fundamental tone. Agja put a lot of emphasis on the fusion of analog, digital and organic sounds in his production. Many small nuances and accents came from playing with recorded samples and old recordings. Both analog instruments like the MB33 and a SH1 were integrated into the production. But also, virtual analog ships like e.g., the "Virus C", a "TR8", a "S1" and also "Plug-Ins" like among other things "Omnisphere". Playing with samples and effects, recordings and modification many small details were created that carry the story of the raindrop across the stage. Sound diversity through provoked coincidences. Each drop for itself, together a melody.
